Freedom High School CheerleadersGina and Aminatta will be here tomorrow 11/12/2009 to teach voice projection, cheers, and jumps. Please come ready to show some Raider spirt!! Also, let the fundraising begin... each Raiderette should sell a minimum of 10 boxes and or 10 gift certificates to family and friends. See you tomorrow!
 Krispy Kreme Donut Fund Raiser!We will be participating in our second annual fund raiser with Krispy Kreme Donuts. Donuts and or gift certificates can be purchased for $6.00 each. Donuts and or gift certificates will be delivered and ready for pick up Monday November 23, 2009. Raiderettes are encouraged to fundraise a minimum of 10 boxes and or gift certificates.
Cheer UniformsAll Raiderettes need to be present Tuesday the 10th of November so that uniform sizes can be verified and ordered! Competition! February 20, 2009Garfield High School will be hosting the "Sweetheart Invitational" cheer and dance competition February 20, 2009. We will be participating in the "Hip Hop" category. The dance is fully choreographed, so it is time to buckle down and become explosive with each and every dance move. Last year we participated in this invitational and came in second place. Our goal Raiderettes is to show PWCS (Prince William County Schools) that we are respectfully having fun and love what we do!
 Make-upThe make-up company can produce individual make-up kits in approximately 2-3 days and if needed in 1 Day, unless they are back ordered on a particular item, which is rare. I think we have plenty of time to get the kits made and shipped in a timely manner.
The basic kit, which individually is all each Raiderette will need, includes 3 colors (shimmers/glitters), 1 Colorloc mini, 1 Glitter Gloss, FREE applicators and FREE makeup bag that retail for $22.80. However, I can receive a discount up to a 30% depending on the number of kits ordered. Price per kit could be as low as $16.00. Thank you so much for giving me your evening time last night! I was very impressed with the turnout of parents and Raiderettes. Respect is my number one rule encompassing behavior overall. I expressed the multiple incidences of inappropriate behavior and the multiple times of redirection. Please encourage your Raiderette to represent herself in an appropriate manner at all times. The total cost for the cheerleading package is $160.00 paid in full or in two installments of $80.00. Attached is the same pictorial flyer you received last night. Please remember the price does not include shipping and handling. The total cost is $160.00. Please make checks payable to Rippon Middle School or RMS. The first payment is due on October 28, 2009. Additionally, the dance shoes from Discount Dance Supply or www.discountdance.com. Item number DN520LBlk Unisex split-Sole Canvas using Teacher ID TP30821. The shoes cost $27.95. Use my teacher identification number so that you may receive the discount. *Remember to order 1 full size larger than what normally is worn. A picture is attached. I am asking that the students get a Michael Jackson hat (a black pinstripe fedora-refer to the picture attachment), the girls know what it looks like anywhere is fine as long as it is black w/ small white pinstripes. $5.00 elbow/knee pads from Wal-Mart either white or black will help ease the floor dance moves during practice and performances. Study hall will be incorporated during practice for the first 30-45 minutes of practice. Two volunteer tutors, Ms. Bearce & Mrs. Kinlaw will be floating about in order to help students with their homework and or assignments. Academics comes first and interims will be checked periodically. PWCS Physicals have been updated! Thank you to those parents who hand delivered those. PWCS Physicals that were given to the nurse will be followed up on tomorrow 10/16/09. Measurements will be done for uniforms Tuesday. Please make sure your Raiderette knows her shirt, pant, and shoe size. Unfortunately my assistants were unable to make the parent meeting. Mrs. Edwards is our technology specialist here at Rippon and takes care of everything managerially. Ms. Victoria is my dance choreographer assistant. She is a full time student who volunteers her time and weekends helping me with the overall choreography. Both of them are awesome! Thank you for supporting our Raiderettes!!!!
